What to Expect on Your First Visit
Your initial appointment at Encinitas Endodontic Specialists will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be done the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Your referral slip and any X-rays if applicable.
- A list of medications you are presently taking (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).
- If you have dental insurance, to help expedite your reimbursement, please bring your Insurance card or the billing information so that we may assist you in filing you insurance.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Please alert our office if you have a medical condition (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) that may be of concern prior to surgery or a root canal procedure.
If treatment is planned or scheduled, please take your normal medications and any PRE-MED required such as antibiotics for heart conditions or recent joint replacement or stint placement. This would be similar to Pre-Meds you take before a cleaning appointment.
